The Public Sector Decarbonisation Scheme provides support that can help minimise emissions from public sector buildings. By 2037, a target of lowering emissions by 75% has been agreed upon when compared to the benchmark established in 2017. This was set out within the 2021 Net Zero and Heat and Buildings approaches. This scheme can contain various applications including enhanced insulation, Solar and Commercial High Temperature Heat Pumps.
Both the Public Sector Low Carbon Skills Fund and the Public Sector Decarbonisation Scheme are available to public sector organisations in England and areas of reserved public services through the United Kingdom.
The Pure High Temperature Heat Pump ranges are the next generation of Heat Pumps, providing around 120C flow temperatures, they are ideal for both retrofit and new build purposes. At the time of writing this written content (Oct 2022), the scheme’s Phase 3b application window the public sector decarbonisation scheme is now open. The advice notes, application form and application portal can be found on the Salix Finance website. Stage 3b will supply as much as £635 million of funding across the financial years 2023 to 2025.
